CHPR Lunch

Hottest ticket in town raised £23,000 for Radio City’s Cash for Kids

Liverpool based PR Consultant Carolyn Hughes hosted her popular annual 'CHPR Charity Christmas Lunch', on Friday at  GUSTO Albert Dock on Liverpool's historic waterfront.  The 12th annual glamorous lunch has become the hottest festive ticket in town, supported by over 250 of Liverpool’s movers and shakers.   Party-goers enjoyed a drink on arrival, followed by a spectacular three-course festive lunch before an afternoon of fun and entertainment.

The day was hosted by the superbly talented Lindzi Germain and entertainment included performances from a DJ and saxophonist, followed by a rousing set from dynamic duo Dixie Daye and Chantel Coleman, before local band 'FIRE'  rounded the afternoon off with a collection of party dance-floor fillers.

There was also a guest appearance from 'The Grinch' (Chris Farley) and a return visit for the 'Elf on the Shelf' (Jay Hynd) whose 'Selfie with the Elfy' proved incredibly popular with guests!

The event raised over £23,000 for Radio City’s Cash for Kids and was supported by local singing sensations Rebecca Ferguson and Liz McClarnon, along with model and reality TV star Danielle Lloyd, actress Gillian Kearney, and RHOC star Dawn Ward.  Everton Legend Graham Stuart brought along a pair of EFC and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford's signed boots for the auction.

Everton Football Club’s and EFC TV's Darren Griffiths showcased his exceptional auctioneering skills, with some amazing prizes including VIP Hospitality packages for Take That and Bon Jovi courtesy of LFC,  a signed Liverpool shirt, and a dining experience at Aiden Byrne’s new MCR restaurant in Manchester.

The room was transformed by the Festive Decorators, with a CHPR giant Christmas bauble and a stunning CHPR Christmas Tree.

Carolyn Hughes, CHPR, said: “This is the 12th annual CHPR charity lunch hosted at GUSTO Albert Dock.  The emphasis is always on fun and today was no exception.  I am grateful to those who support us year after year and delighted that we have raised £23,000 to support the amazing work that Radio City's Cash for Kids does for local children.  Thanks to the Festive Decorators for the Giant CHPR Christmas Bauble and Tree and to all those who make the day so much fun”.
